For more than 20 years, the founder of NEES, Michael McCormick, has been in the business of making facilities more fiscally and energy efficient. His work with private and public schools, as well as municipalities has created a multitude of expertise in several areas. Since the founding of NEES, Mr. McCormick has traveled many times to European communities to learn from their advanced wood heating and community heating techniques. This shared knowledge is used in all of our client’s projects; from designing a biomass heating plant to simply choosing the right biomass fuel for a project, Mr. McCormick has the expertise and know-how to provide his clients with the best solution possible.
NEES has grown to be a complete service biomass provider located in Dexter, Maine. We supply turnkey solutions for biomass and other renewable forms of energy. We design, install, and service biomass boilers through New England.
We are the factory authorized representative for Viessmann solid fuel boilers. Viessmann is the leader in the world heating industry and offers several heating options. As the representative for this prestigious company, NEES has access to some of the best and most experienced wood fired technology in the industry.
As a full service company, we also supply wood pellets and chips to not only users of our equipment but other manufacturers as well.
Due to our history in the biomass field, it is only natural that NEES is a fuel broker for wood chips and pellets. As this industry develops in Maine, our company has had a particularly vested interest in the success of the wood chip industry. Not only does NEES support the wood industry because of its positive effect on the Maine economy, but we want to guarantee our client that there will be a good, reliable flow of wood fuels for future biomass needs. With this in mind, NEES works with several providers throughout the Northeast in order to provide the lowest price and a variety of options for woods chips and pellets.
NEES is currently the largest wood fuel provider in the State of Maine providing more than 20,000 tons of fuel annually and growing each year providing fuel to public and private schools and municipal heating plants.
